funny. Of course AI is not a person, ugly or not. But some weeks ago I
read (in a newspaper not known for fakes) an article on an AI (not
openAI or ChatGPT, a third one, I may find it in my archives, if of
interest). They made a test: telling the AI some employee is trying to
find a newer, better AI system. Then they let the AI know, the same
employee has some mistress relationship to another employee, which is
illegal in this company. The AI began to write blackmail letters...
"either stop seach for new AI or disclosure of this relationsship"
You may think otherwise but I would not trust a system as "egoistic" as
this - so the sentence "I don’t have desires or intentions, so I don’t
want to own anything..." is maybe not true. A system of this complexity
has the (planned) intention to optimize itself (collecting information,
sorting and connecting it), to hope this doesn't develop some kind of
"person with it's own interests" is childish.
I fear we will learn a lot about this things next years...
