So can you finally explain what do you mean by “cannot connect” and how to reproduce this? I have just tried to connect to a Rebex test server, and it works for me:

I’ve tried another (private) machine and got "Resource temporarily unavailable (35)” - but I suspect this may have something to do with outdated crypto and not really mc's fault.

Just alerting folks that "something is not working on your computer and it has been a problem for many years" is not helpful.
