using "alt-t" to switch to single-panel mode

Hello,

I would like to have the possibility to easily switch between the
default view, and the single panel view.

When I use "alt-t", it actually cycles through 4 view modes:

  1) my default view
  2) some other view
  3) some other view
  4) single-panel view

Is it possible to get rid of 2) and 3), so that I can cycle only through
the 2 desired modes ?

If this is not configurable, I would be happy to recompile mc, if easy
change to the sourcode can fix this.
