Missing semicolon(";") in hotkey defines

Hello,

New to mc and have a little question.
After serveral tries, seems that it's impossible to set a shortcut with a semicolon(";"). I tried to add following:

> PanelListingSwitch = alt-;

to my mc.keymap ([main] section), and I also tried this:

> PanelListingSwitch = alt-semicolon

Neither of them works, is this my misunderstanding of something or just due to some historical reason it's not defined in mc-4.8.12/lib/tty/key.c?
