screen lines drawing problem on Centos 4.5

I'm using mc over ssh on a Centos system,
on the 'old' machine, I need to use 'mc -a' to get the screen drawn properly
now, I've installed Centos 4.5, when I invoke 'mc -a' I still get problems
with screen disply, what can I do ?
