Opening a PDF file with acroread when pressing Enter - newbie

Currently, the default application for .pdf files is xpdf. Go to the 
"Commands" menu, select "Edit extensions file" and look for "xpdf". 
Comment out the xpdf entry and uncomment the acroread entry.
