Followup: Do something on the tagged files

I tried editing the mc.menu file for "Do something on the tagged files" 
by changing '$CMD "$1"' to '$CMD "%d/$1"' and it now appears to send the 
full pathnames to the user-entered command.

Is this a proper way to get the "Do something on the tagged files" to 
send the full pathnames to the user-entered command?
