mc background

Hi,
I am trying to get mc tranperent in a term(aterm), but mc uses 
background colors. If i have the terminal transperent, then mc overruns 
the background image. I red the manual(the options area and abit of 
other stuff[and looked at ~/.mc/ini]) but didn't find any hint, how to 
get rid of the text background. If that is not possible, then it would 
be very cool if u would make an option that makes mc use only text 
colour. Then atleast one or more persons would use it every day ;o)
