MCHOME environment variable

It seems you are using mc 4.5.55 or older with obsolete man page.  In 
this case you can use MC_LIBDIR environment variable which substitutes 
/usr/lib/mc in your case.

After mc-4.6-pre1 you can use MC_DATADIR variable for this goal.
