no.

sometimes, particularly over dial-up connections, or when multiple
connections are not convenient.  But I would not mind if the feature got
dropped for the sake of code simplication.

> 3) Do you use the directory tree?

I do not, but I know of people who do.

> 4) Do you use the native Windows port?

nope, but mostly because I have not been able to compile it myself
there.  I would use the Windows port if it was more easily available.  

These days I do spend quite a bit of time using Windows.
