looking inside RPM files

I just grabbed the source to version 4.6.0-pre2,a dn compiled it, but
the problem that has me not upgrading, is the inability to look inside
of RPM files.

I've read through the README & FAQ, and they both mention that is should
work.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
