[mc-devel] Request to become Ukrainian translation reviewer / maintainer

Hello,

My name is Andriy, and I have recently updated the Ukrainian translation of Midnight Commander. The previous Ukrainian translation had not been maintained for many years, so I synchronized the uk.po file with the current mc.pot template, reviewed all strings, corrected outdated terminology, and uploaded the updated translation to Transifex.

Summary of recent work on the Ukrainian translation:

- Synchronized uk.po with the latest mc.pot from the master branch.
- Removed obsolete and unused msgid entries left from older versions.
- Updated terminology to match current Midnight Commander UI and modern Ukrainian technical vocabulary.
- Reviewed and corrected inconsistent or outdated translations.
- Ensured full coverage of all 1235 active strings in mc.pot (100% translated).
- Verified translation integrity using msgmerge, msgfmt, and msgcmp.
- Uploaded the updated uk.po to Transifex using "Replace translations" to ensure consistency.
- Subscribed to mc/po commit feed to track future template changes and keep the translation up to date.

I would like to continue maintaining the Ukrainian localization in the future. To do this effectively, I kindly request to be granted the "Reviewer" (or "Maintainer") role for the Ukrainian language on Transifex. This would allow me to approve translations, keep the localization consistent, and ensure that updates remain in sync with the upstream template.
