Hi, openSUSE's recent stable release upgrade from kde plasma5 gui from
v24.4 to v27.4 has caused mc to exit into the directory it was started
from instead of into mc's current directory. This is being discussed in:
https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1203617
I originally thought this was a kde bug but apparently gnome has the
same behaviour. We have come up with a workaround of placing "[ $(type
-t mc) = "file" ] && . /etc/profile.d/mc.sh || true" in
/etc/bash.bashrc.local but this is unsuitable for adding to the rpm
package. Can somebody give me a simple method for a patch or a build
flag that can override whatever the gui's are doing to mc's environment
that causes this incorrect behaviour.
lesser window managers like xfce and icewindows manager don't alter mc's
behaviour.
Thanks
Dave Plater
