MC-win-4.8.7 does not show files

         Hi there,

I can't figure out why I can't make Midnight Commander
for Windows version 4.8.7 show any files, just the
two dots showing that there is an upper level directory.
The attached screenshot is an example of this.

The program changes to the upper level directory when
enter is pressed but it can't move to a lower level
directory because no files are visible.

I'm testing this with a 32-bit Windows 7 professional.
