Lots of breaks on -Werror

Hi folks,


I'm just cleaning up dozens of breaks in -Werror. It begins w/
autocrap doing lots of broken things (just look at AC_CHECK_FUNCS),
goes to several of our .m4 files and lots of unclean stuff in
mc code itself.

If anyone else is already working on that, just let me know.
