bugs in latest Midnight Commander, version 4.6.2

Hi,

the latest version of Midnight Commander in Debian Sid (4.6.2-2) does 
unfortunately NOT harvest any configuration changes in a directory called .mc 
being situated in the user's home directory.

Thus it is for example impossible to use its wonderful internal editor without 
reconfigurating Midnight Commander at every startup.

As this never happened in earlier versions it should be very easy to 
understand that this bug extremely sucks.

So I'd appreciate the makers / packagers to fix that terrible bug please, and 
offer us a fixed version as soon as possible.
