Comment:

 AC_USE_SYSTEM_EXTENSIONS macro requires autoconf >= 2.60
 (http://www.gnu.org/software/hello/manual/autoconf/Posix-Variants.html).
 So AC_PRERQ(2.54) in configure.ac need to be fixed.
