I am investigating the redhat problem reports. I will let you know. But since
the problem does not exist in the UBUNTU release, your guess is probably
right
: it has something to do with either 1-)the fedora MC release or 2-)the
Fedora system configuration. Although my default is en_US.UTF-8, I often have
to deal with french files for Quebec. So I can't change my system to all
UTF-8.
