[BUG] ? mc hangs when $DISPLAY set

Well, do you know any other way to achieve the same ?

The reason for the problem that Enrico is experiencing is most likely to be
due to DISPLAY being incorrectly set on the remote machine. What you suggest
might help in this case but it what will happen with forwarded X connections
?
