[bug #15257] mc viewer enters a probably infinite cycle on some files with 8-bit characters

Follow-up Comment #5, bug #15257 (project mc):

Please test this issue with a more recent version of mc. It should be
possible to rebuild a srpm from a more recent SuSE release (10.0, 10.1.beta)
with minimal or no changes to the spec file. Even better would be to build
from CVS (vanilla to make sure no vendor patches interfere).
