umask issue

Hi!

My friend ask me about copying process under mc. He discovers following 
behaviour of setting permissions on file.

umask=111 (mount or console parameter)

-rw-rw-rw-  1 ulyanitsky_nikolay ulyanitsky_nikolay 0 Jul  9 14:39 
after_cp.txt
-rw-------  1 ulyanitsky_nikolay ulyanitsky_nikolay 0 Jul  9 14:39 
after_mc.txt
-rwxrwxrwx  1 ulyanitsky_nikolay ulyanitsky_nikolay 0 Jul  9 14:38 
test_before.txt

Who could explain me this?
