increasing LINES and COLS [was Re: suggestion]

SLang (in this case mcslang) does not crash when resizing vertically to 
$many lines. Rxvt only shows the first 300 lines (the rest is white), 
and SLang only draws the first 256 lines of these.

In an xterm only the first 512 lines are shown.
