It's fixed now.  I hoped to add wheel support with gpm as well, but I'm 
too busy and I want to release 4.6.0 without delays.  So I just added a 
few ifdefs for now.

The fixed snapshot is being uploaded now.  I hope it will compile on
Mandrake 9.0 without too many warnings.
